Our planned, preventative maintenance programmes (PPMs) are tailored to your individual requirements and offer a thorough and effective regime for prolonging the life of your cooling/refrigeration equipment.

We have a dedicated in-house helpdesk and a team of expert field engineers – all of whom are fully qualified to Level 2 NVQ or equivalent and are FGAS registered. Their express purpose is to ensure the efficient running of your refrigeration equipment and adherence to UK standards whilst minimising downtime.

Our field teams always carry a range of spares which will allow them to address faults quickly, reacting to any issues you may have, or proactively that they feel may develop. In addition, their experience and training mean that they are able to re-calibrate or maintain non-LEEC equipment so please do not hesitate to include these in your PPM plan.

LEEC Limited operates under ISO accredited systems (ISO 9001 & ISO 14001) which means our standards are high and exacting. Our engineers carry out temperature, operational and leak checks during the PPM visit, using UKAS calibrated instruments, to guarantee reliable and traceable records.

How often should my LEEC equipment be serviced?

We recommend your refrigeration equipment is serviced at least once per year, to ensure it is leak tested every 12 months. We recommend that refrigeration equipment within Funeral Director Hubs or Hospital Mortuaries is serviced every 6 months.

Are your engineers trained to work on competitors’ equipment?

Yes, because our field technicians undertake extensive training at our factory in Nottingham and are able to maintain, calibrate and service competitor equipment

When is your helpdesk available?

Our Nottingham based helpdesk operates between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. If your query relates to an urgent refrigeration breakdown, you will be able to reach our on-call team 24/7 by ringing 0115 9616 222 and following the instructions.

My LEEC unit is not working as well as it used to, is there anything I can do to improve its operation?

Does your maintenance team cover areas outside of UK mainland?

On a case by case basis, we may be able to arrange for our field technicians to travel to Europe or even further; alternatively we may be able to put you in contact with a service partner local to you, so please contact us at service@leec.co.uk to discuss what options are available.

How do you ensure your engineers are protected against the hazards associated with working within mortuaries, funeral homes and schools of anatomy?

Our engineers undertake an inoculation process as soon as hired, to ensure they are vaccinated against HEP A, HEP B, Typhoid Fever, Meningococcal Meningitis (A+C), Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio. They are also trained to use the necessary PPE to minimize exposure to biohazards.

I own both a Refrigerated Body Storage Cabinet and a Hydraulic Trolley, can your engineers service both at the same time?

Yes. Our refrigeration engineers are also fully trained to maintain and repair Hydraulic Trolleys, Embalming Trolleys, Post Mortem Tables, Dissecting Benches and many more.
